Thunar vs. Samba shares: missing network icons

Hi,

I have Slackware64 14.1 + Xfce installed on a PC. Thunar doesn't display correct icons for network shares. There's only a generic icon. See attached image, where NESTOR is my file server.

Opening a share by double-clicking on the NESTOR icon and then a share name (displayed with correct folder icons) works though.

Any idea how I can restore the original icons? This worked OK under Slackware 14.0.

There are a references around the web in various forums suggesting an edit to the hosts line of the file to:

hosts: files wins dns
