Thunar on current not starting: It's hanging up.

the other day thunar got hung up and I force killed it. now it is not starting. I ran it in the terminal and it just hangs. I'm thinking on trying to just reinstall it, so what is the easiest way to reinstall a app that comes with slack?

https://slackware.absolutehosting.ne...are64-current/

where is it located in its tree?

3rd party is easy, I just never had to do this.

found it, reinstalled it, and thunar is still hanging in the terminal, and clicking to start it gets me nothing.

I even deleted its config files in my home .config/thunar directory.

Would you mind to share terminal output when run thunar from it? Before do this make sure you have no thunar processes running in the background. Better to kill it with killall.

The easiest way to reinstall is
Code:
slackpkg reinstall *package_name*
Btw thunar config directory is ~/.config/Thunar, not ~/.config/thunar.

there is no terminal output it just hangs there, as stated before. the second part config thing is just a typo. the name is still the same and that dir got deleted.

That's odd. Actually i has experienced exactly the same thing not long ago when accidentally killed some xfce process. So my simple suggestion is to try to logout and login again or even reboot.
