Thunar 1.6.10 crashes randomly while renaming files (64bit -current)

I noticed that Thunar 1.6.10 crashes randomly on segmentation faults while renaming (or moving) files. This happens on Slackware64-current. For those interested in testing this, I can reproduce it by simply renaming a file or a directory with F2, or by moving it around with Ctrl-X and Ctrl-V. The issue is random, hence it might happen at the first attempt, or it might take several of them before the program crashes. I have a full and up to date -current installation, and AFAIK no other issues so far.

There's already a bug report to upstream (#12264) for the x86_64 architecture (x86 seems to be unaffected) and a fix was proposed on 13 Nov 2015 by Xfce's Harald Judt (see comment #14), although not a definitive one. I applied the patch and Thunar doesn't crash anymore. Apparently bug #12297 was solved as well.

I can confirm this bug. Simply renaming a file triggers a crash of the active Thunar window (on Slackware-current x64).

Strange. Running Thunar 1.6.10 on Slackware 14.1 for quite a while now, and it never (ever) crashes. Renaming subtit^^^^^files all the time with it.

This is happening on Slackware64-current (I never saw this on 14.1 either). The bug seems to be affecting systems with glib2 versions 2.46.x.

Tried to make it crash but doesn't happen. I don't have a full install, so it may be something else that's causing it.
I seem to recall something similar used to happen with gvfs (which I never use) and someone did file a pcmanfm bug that was fixed.

I marked this thread as solved: the patch I mentioned in my original post was applied by Pat with the 20160113 update.

Code:
Wed Jan 13 00:01:23 UTC 2016
(...)
xfce/Thunar-1.6.10-x86_64-3.txz: Rebuilt.
Fix some crashes that occur with file moves.

Thanks!
