is your kernel newer because your running slackware-current or did you upgrade the kernel yourself ??
what's current like ?? i've only tried 13.1 so far
Yep, I built it myself. Afaik, -current is on 2.6.35.10. And I haven't had any non-pebkac problems with -current. \o/

Not really sure what we were meant to be seeing there.
If you really want to mess with her, take a screen image of the desktop with all the desktop icons on it, remove the desktop icons and then set the image you took as the background. Sit back and wait for the "Arrrgh! none of my programs will start!"
P.S. Having switched to i3 recently, I no longer have any "desktop" as such to pimp

thnx 4 the info, think i'l just stick with using 13.1 and use slapt-src to update software. I'l post a few screens when i get everything installed & customized
probaly be xfce as never been a fan of KDE that much
