I like it insanely much, alas, can only use elilo and refind due to "legacy free" UEFI laptop

Beautiful picks!

Excellent implementation!

Hello Phenixia2003 - sweet lilo splash!...ummm... but how did you screenshot it? Even scrot requires much more than a bootloader makes available.

With command import to take screenshot of a virtualized slackware.

if you closely examine the 1st one image - it has the typical VM status line (Virtual Box? VMWare?)

I have been playing Dunnet recently, it inspired me to make things an iota more old school. The wallpaper is a home-made modification of another I saw online.

Decorated for the holidays: http://pineviewfarm.net/weblog/wp-co...2018-11-02.jpg

Afterthought:

That's Fluxbox on Slackware 14.2 with GKrellM using the "Glass" theme.

Don't let anyone tell you that a window manager can't have eye candy.

Here is my new lock screen (i3lock with some annotations). I am also using this with SDDM; I just took the existing Maldives theme and replaced the background with this one. The image came from Alien Bob's LXQt SDDM SlackBuild.

I found a version of i3lock that displays a clock: https://github.com/Lixxia/i3lock.

I think this version is pretty snazzy looking.

This is great, I wish something like that worked for Xfce.

It should work, but it won't be integrated with the power manager. You'd probably have to disable the default screensaver.

EDIT: FYI, I have a SlackBuild here. It requires libev and libxkbcommon, as well as pam. I built pam from Willy's Cinnamon repository, and it seems to work fine.

Actually, I rather like it.

Sort of the Ling's Cars of Slackware.

Then again, I quite like the default OpenBSD Xorg setup. My problem.

After spending too much of the weekend experimenting with various themes and icons, I tossed it all and went with stock Adwaita and Daloa. Boring, but functional.
