That is really very sweet. GJ!

I got frustrated with the lack of authentic-looking flat Slackware Icons so I made my own.

Fortunately it's rather easy to make a flat Slackware icon. The font used is Courier 10 Pitch, I wasn't sure if that was correct but it's close enough. I would be interested to see if anyone else can do a better one.

EDIT: removed the icons since they were using the wrong case 'S', corrected one a few posts below.

Nice! I once tried to make something kind of similar but it never looked as good as yours. I may use this.

@Lysander & montagdude,

There are actually a few logo icons in my slack-images pack on GitHub. These used to be included in the slack-wallpapers SlackBuild on SBo, but I decided to separate them since the number of wallpapers grew quite a bit.

I recognise quite a few of these from Deviant Art. Did you make any of them? The glossy icon is good - almost too good - and seriously looks like light is hitting it from the top of the monitor.

Slackware doesn't have nearly as many funky modern graphics unlike the 'top 3 trendy distros' among younger nerds, which are Debian, Arch and Gentoo. Slackware attracts a different kind of user, but that's probably a good thing.

EDIT: Looking at it now, I'm convinced that the font on the official Slackware site is Courier 10 Pitch. Furthermore, the 's' in the logo is a lower case s. I have therefore amended the icon to this effect.

@Lysander666 -
I like it (the Slackware icon)! For now, I've stolen it to replace the icon for my whisker menu (OT - I really recommend whisker menu for xfce users)

Glad you like it. I used to use the Whisker menu, but there's a bug with 14.2's version of Xfce whereby the panel goes black if you move the tabs around. I've since had to revert to the standard menu.

No I didn't make any of them. Most of the images were in the slack-wallpapers SlackBuild when I took it over, but I think that I did add a few. I did however add ~300 wallpapers to the slack-wallpapers packs. A lot of those did come from Deviantart.

@zezaocapoeira: does "SLACKWARE" on the upper-left side represent your different workspaces?

Hello.

(sorry bad english)

Yes, replaces each tag number with a letter.

For example, in file config.h
Code:
static const char *tags[] = { "S", "L", "A", "C", "K", "W", "A", "R", "E" };
Here I put together all those patches in dwm-6.1-multipatch.patch .

If you are curious, follow the link:

https://github.com/zezaocapoeira/DWM...master/dwm-6.1

The dwm shortcuts settings are with custom settings.

For the status of the toolbar I mounted a very simple shell-script dwm-status.sh.

For packaging I used as a base:

https://slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/...dwm.SlackBuild

Thanks for listening.

Hello,

A simple lilo theme for Slackware :

Size:	126.7 KB
ID:	29042

Click image for larger version

Views:	140
Size:	88.4 KB

for anybody who always use lilo and want this theme, you'll get it here. To install the package :
Code:
$ wget https://sourceforge.net/projects/lilo-slackware-theme/files/lilo-slackware-theme.tar.gz
$ tar xf lilo-slackware-theme.tar.gz
$ cd lilo-slackware-theme.
$ wget https://sourceforge.net/projects/lilo-slackware-theme/files/lilo-slackware-theme-2018.1123-src.tar.gz

$ su
$ ./lilo-slackware-theme.SlackBuild
To set the lilo background, the easiest is to use the command setlilobmp (shipped with lilo-slackware-theme) as in example below :

Code:
$ setlilobmp /usr/share/lilo-slackware-theme/Bruegel_12_Gloomy_Day_1565 --run-lilo
setlilobmp ver. 2018.1123, (c) 2018 Sébastien Ballet

Saves /etc/lilo.conf into /etc/lilo.conf.bak_181124_161043

Cleans /etc/lilo.conf ...
  removed line #6: [bitmap=/boot/lilo-background.bmp]
  removed line #7: [bmp-table=492p,8,1,16...]
  removed line #8: [bmp-colors=255,132,,132,255,,...]
  removed line #9: [bmp-timer=540p,460p,255,107,,...]
Done.

Copies /usr/share/lilo-slackware-theme/Green-Hills/lilo-background.bmp to /boot/lilo-background.bmp ...
Updates /etc/lilo.conf ...
  at #6, inserts [bitmap=/boot/lilo-background.bmp]
  at #7, inserts [bmp-table=492p,8,1,16]
  at #8, inserts [bmp-colors=255,132,,132,255,,]
  at #9, inserts [bmp-timer=540p,460p,255,107,,]
Done.

[Execing /sbin/lilo] ----------------------
    Warning: LBA32 addressing assumed
    Added Slackware-14.2  *
    Added Rescue
    One warning was issued.
[Done] ------------------------------------

you'll find (more) predefined bitmaps in /usr/share/lilo-slackware-theme.

Greetings.
