I assume at least similar tweaks, if not even more, are possible in Fluxbox. I've gotten lazy and have ceased regular use of Fluxbox and Xfce and just install and use KDE after removing a few startup processes I don't need for my main KDM menuitem and a full Plasma version for a fallback.
That said on my 32 bit 14.2 install that is pretty much just for dedicated DAW work, I installed Trinity and it seems it is more than nostalgia. It's pretty dfamned sweet. Too bad it is no longer being developed.
Well, Plasma is getting surprisingly light lately (relatively speaking). I've been playing with LXQt as a lighter KDE, its interesting.....right now I have Falkon/Qupzilla open with three tabs, plus claws-mail, htop and keepassx and its only using about 2% CPU and 850MB.
