Thanks! :-) Anyway the gtk theme is called Zukitwo but it's an older version you can find it in here (ftp://ftp.muug.mb.ca/mirror/fedora/l...3.fc17.src.rpm) in order to use though you'll need to install these gtk engines from slackbuilds: gtk-engines-unico, murrine, gtk-engines (to be fair I'm not sure if murrine is really needed).

The xfce theme doesn't really exist I just played around with the settings of the top panel and use compiz as a wm for compositing. Finally the xfce menu button is included in the icon theme faenza, you can find it on slackbuilds, you can set it by right clicking and changing the default icon, just look under locations.

While TWM is perfect when you are logged in as root, I found the lack of a status bar, full screen mode and the fact that it crashed a number of applications a bit more than I was prepared to put up with.

You might find that your laptop handles fluxbox just as well (and for a simple WM it's great).

Been playing around with TWM on an old laptop, rebuilt the desktop based on a .twmrc I found online.

The two icon stacks show open apps yet:

Thanks for the tip, actually it handles windowmaker too just fine (which is my normal WM of choice). But, I'm having so much fun configuring TWM to do my job that I even started using in on my normal desktop.

Everything works perfectly fine for me here, no applications crashing or anything. I'm using Iconmgr as a handy taskbar; the one thing I really miss is virtual desktops, but I guess I can live without that.

Check out vdesk, works very well with twm and it gives you a psuedo virtual desks.
Sounds nice, maybe in the "Linux Desktop" since twm is simple and people using other distros can contribute

Publishing here the configuration files concerning desktop look-and-feel perfectly matches the policy of that thread so it is not a hijacking. On the other hand sharing those files in “Linux – Desktop” section is a great idea as well. As a result we have “two in one”: a link here and a post there. Well done!

I have a question for clod89 or anyone else that runs Xfce 4.10.

How can I remove the white borders on Xfce systray ?

The image below my systray is the desktop of clod89 and I dunno how he managed to get rid of these.
