Which GTK theme are you using?

Slackware 13.37, XFce, and Virtualbox. Note the time on the screenshot.

Edit: Added later. The time on the screenshot was a happy coincidence, not planned.

Nothin fancy. Fluxbox with dmenu. All the fun stuff happens in .fluxbox/keys anyway. Notice the uid and gid. Yeah I'm a dork but it seemed to just be the right thing to do.

Since 90% of my "root"ing is done via "su", I have not bothered until now to do much configuring of the root's home environment. If I needed to login as root, I would set up whatever I needed on the fly.

Now that I have installed the "slim" login manager, I decided to take advantage of the extra flexibility it offers to set up an environment for root. Yes, root uses TWM (KISS) and the "terminal" (the most important program for root) automatically starts up on login. I can also run Thunar and Google-Chrome from TWM's menu (but one should never go surfing as root). Since terminal is the last program to be started at login, "exit"ing from terminal automatically logs root off.

(BTW: I still use fluxbox as a normal user)

It is called axiom and comes in a light and dark variant. The dark one is called axiomd.

also, im very confused as to where to put my screenshots now. are we putting them in this thread, or in the screenshots forum, and if its in that forum, what thread am i supposed to put them in? honestly, i found the whole system to be a lot better before we had a dedicated forum for screenshots, nobody even goes there anyway :/

until i am told otherwise, ill be posting here and there.

It highlights one area that is often underrated: fonts. What font are you using in your theme?

And where do people get classy screen fonts?

I had to do a double take on that one. Looks a lot like CDE. Brought back memories of my working days and hp-ux. Nice!

its AvantGarde, my favorite font to date.

EDIT: oh wait, you were referring to my old kde desktop. the font i used there was Bauhaus.


lots of searching. my font collection holds somewhere around 900-1500 fonts, that, my wallpapers folder, and my music collection are the only things ive kept intact over all the past few years of distro hopping.

I was afraid that would be the answer.

To take the example of bauhaus alone, a google search brings up so many versions, free and unfree, and you don't know which one will look good on which device at what resolution, so it's all try & error from there.
