I said above that I have always used KDE, but I feel very homesick for kde3.
KDE3 is ugly lighter and more practical. KDE4 is very nice but very heavy...

The default KDE 3.5.10 theme plastik+colors indeed is not very nice, but I cannot agree that KDE 3.5.10 is ugly. It is a question of a customization. KDE 3.5.10 is a desktop environment with many well-integrated applications. KDE 4.x is only a desktop.

I wonder how you all add those system monitoring visualisations as a part of the desktop, so that they do not overlay Desktop icons and already open windows? I tried opening the widgets, but they overlay icons on the Desktop.
