Shilo, where you able to see it, has anybody else able to see it, cuz immediately after I post the URL I went back to make sure that it worked and ever since I have been receiving a page not available error. Please let me know if it can be seen.

blood_omen- The second link works, not the first one. Just remove the first link in you post.

Very nice !! My compliments.
Although I have my doubts with the combination of swaret/current and dropline. A while ago I used dropline and swaret always complained about it's dependencies, wanting to install stuff dropline allready installed with another name. Also... isn't dropline only done for stable? As you never know what will be happening with current... either your system or dropline could get hit by an upgrade of either one. Or am I talking crap here ? :-) Been a while since I played with dropline, so I might be wrong. Anyway... very nice work !! |
Hey MarsDude,
I was running Dropline on a slack-current system for some time, with swaret keeping track of everything, without having any problems with this. I just let swaret do its thing, and it worked fine. The problems arise when you try to remove Dropline ;) even though I've succeeded doing that, too - twice :) |
Ah okay... As I said... it has been a while ago. But the part about problems when removing dropline does ring a bell ;-)

Shilo, you are now on my eternal xmas card list. I don't use the same distro, but your time was very well spent to write your experiences! Maybe the forum could start a section on install guides? I sure hope it catches on... Thanks again for giving your time to the open source community!!!!!

Shameless self-promotional bump. :)
profjohn- Thanks. I'm glad you liked the post. Everyone- I added a little bit to post 15, near the bottom. Still working out some things with getting Sendmail set up a little better, but the post will work for now. If anyone has some advice to offer, I'm looking for some help here. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=175817 Thanks again to everyone for all of your kind words. Hope the post is helping. |
Just saw this Affero thing. Looks kinda neat. If you thought this post was helpful, sure would be cool of you to click the Affero button.
Thanks in advance, Shilo |
