ThinkPad T420 Buttons
Hi all, as I am nearing the end of my CS degree, I thought I'd better get re-aquanted with Windows again, just in case. Anyway, I miss my Slackware like mad, so think I'll switch back.
Anyway, one thing I did notice on windows that was nice, was the ThinkPad mute and mic mute buttons worked flawlessly. In Slackware I noticed that if the mute button was held down, it would oscillate rapidly and the light could end up on, but the sound not muted and vice versa. Also, the mic mute did not work at all.
Also, the middle button scrolling is nice.
Anybody worked out how to replicate this in Linux?
Best Regards,
Jack

in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/
you need the 11-mouse.conf AND the 50-synaptics.conf
without the mouse config it will not work
I have attached 2 files, they are not perfect, I have taken them from an other distro, but they are a starting point so that the stuff works and a base to finetune/fallback is available.
there are also several wikis, at arch and ubuntu, but there are so many things and possibilities to configure, I have no time for this fine tuning now.
If you find some better config, please share.
