The PPD version (5.2.6) is not compatible with Gutenprint 5.2.8.

Hi!
My Epson DX4450 printer doesn't print anymore on my slackware current!
Pointing my web browser to http://localhost:631/printers/EPSON_Stylus_DX4400, I can read the following printer status warning:

"Stopped. The PPD version (5.2.6) is not compatible with Gutenprint 5.2.8."

Code:
grep -i gutenprint /etc/cups/ppd/*.ppd
returns the following output:
Code:
*% PPD file for CUPS/Gutenprint.
*NickName: "Epson Stylus DX4400 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.6"
*cupsFilter: "application/vnd.cups-raster 100 rastertogutenprint.5.2"
*StpPPDLocation: "/usr/share/cups/model/gutenprint/5.2/C/ppd/stp-escp2-dx4400.5.2.ppd"
I upgraded to the new slackware-current upgrade (the famous "Friday the 13tg The Massive upgrade"! ), but unfortunately I'm still experiencing this printing issue!

Have you tried adjusting the version number in the .ppd file?

Thanks for your reply schmatzler! Your post pointed me on the right track!

Adjusting the version number in the "/etc/cups/ppd/EPSON_Stylus_DX4400.ppd" file didn't solve the issue. I could easily solve connecting to "localhost:631", then deleting and re-installing my Epson printer with the correct version of the gutenprint driver: (Epson Stylus DX4450 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.8)!
