Does anyone know if something has happened to him or did he simply get tried of maintaining the scripts?
Last Tweet was a month ago.

I use Twitter once in a blue moon, and have tweeted him to ask him how he's doing. Seems he's just really lying low at the moment.

"xhci_hcd 0000:07:00.0: swiotlb buffer is full"

Anyone seeing this on 5.2.0 and 5.2.1?
I am getting a syslog full of that error message when I try to write a backup of /home to an external USB-3.0 disk. The terminal running the command locks and only a press of the [reset] will reboot the system. The other terminals work as usual. The backup program has worked for probably ten years without fault and still works with any kernel before 5.2. So Helpme please.
Thanks
John
FOLLOWUP there is already a report on bugzilla by Anthony, nice to know I'm not alone.
EDIT-2 Alan Stern sent a patch to the mail list and it works fine for me on Slackware64-14.2 using kernel 5.2.1
EDIT -3 The patch is still required in 5.2.2
EDIT -4 The patch is still required in 5.2.3
EDIT -5 The patch is still required in 5.2.4

What's taking LTS so long to appear in 5.x.y family?

I hope Dave from DUSK is okay

I wonder how the 5.x will fare on ARM?

Greg K-H says he normally does an LTS at the end of every year, hence the next one is most likely to be 5.4 at the end of this year.

Well, he's alive, but whether he's OK or not is another matter.

Yes, saw that.
What the cycle (chron?) on the script is, I don't know, but in the past I've seen it miss one version on the first pass, but pick it up on the next cycle. However, I don't think that has happened in quite a while.

kernel and initrd and run lilo as root to update the bootloader.
If you use elilo to boot your machine, you should run eliloconfig to copy the
kernel and initrd to the EFI System Partition.

There's a small typo error in 14.2 ChangeLog:
