Textboxes won't show in Galeon, Mozilla or Epiphany

this is a really weird problem, but for some reason all users other than root cannot see the form textboxes on any pages loaded in all three web browsers...pretty sure it's a permission problem since I had to bend over backwards trying to repair permissions to get mozilla and galeon working under my non superuser account, and look where it got me any help would be much appreciated.

nevermind, removed mozilla and the mozilla plugin packages, and resinstalled them, running mozilla first this time under my non superuser account...such a buggy thing this is.
