Tap to click removal and Firefox question

Sorry, I didn't think I would need to ask anymore questions, but these are the last two and I will be golden. I want to disable my tap to click function on my laptop, I searched and found out how to do it in ubuntu so I think it will be the same. I believe I have to change MaxTaptime to 0. But when I look up my xorg.conf file I don't believe its right. I used auto detect when setting up X, and I think I need to change it somehow.
Heres it says
Code:
Section "InputDevice"

# Identifier and driver

    Identifier	"Mouse1"
    Driver	"mouse"
Option "Protocol" "Auto"	# Auto detect
    Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"

# Mouse-speed setting for PS/2 mouse.

# Option "Resolution"	"256"

# Baudrate and SampleRate are only for some Logitech mice. In
# almost every case these lines should be omitted.

# Option "BaudRate"	"9600"
# Option "SampleRate"	"150"

# Mouse wheel mapping. Default is to map vertical wheel to buttons 4 & 5,
# horizontal wheel to buttons 6 & 7. Change if your mouse has more than
# 3 buttons and you need to map the wheel to different button ids to avoid
# conflicts.

    Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5 6 7"

# Emulate3Buttons is an option for 2-button mice
# Emulate3Timeout is the timeout in milliseconds (default is 50ms)

# Option "Emulate3Buttons"
# Option "Emulate3Timeout" "50"http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=14

# ChordMiddle is an option for some 3-button Logitech mice

# Option "ChordMiddle"

EndSection
I added Option "MaxTapTime" "0" right below option device...
And it didn't work. So I believe I need to reconfigure whatever it is that found my mouse. I am sure others have had this problem, so what helped fix that?

My second question isn't to big of a deal. It's about firefox and it's really big, I think it has something to do with fonts or something. I haven't edited it or touched it but usually it won't view the whole page, I will have to scroll from left to right, and the font is huge, I'll post a picture. Just wondering if I can do anything about that.

As you can see its kind of big at least the web bar and stuff at the top is. Maybe its the resolution? Is there an easy way to change that?

Try adding: Option "TouchpadOff" "2". That should only disable tapping and scrolling.

If that doesn't work also change the driver to "synaptics".

I've tried it on my laptop with both drivers. With the mouse driver it ignores the TouchpadOff option even though it seems to load the synaptics driver implicitly. The pad also reacts a lot more erratic with mouse.

About your firefox problem. Either try messing with your firefox font settings or install the nosquint extension. messing with the dpi settings of X might help too.

Oh or if you want to change the font of the toolbar. I don't use kde but AFAIK it should provide some way to change the font in gtk+ apps like firefox.

How do I change to the synaptic drivers? I am wondering how I can get it so it asks for me what type of mouse I am using. And what I should enter. Like when I was setting up X, it gave me like 15 options. Thanks

Just change Driver "mouse" to Driver "synaptics"
That's assuming you have have a synaptics pad, pretty much all laptops use those things though.

I just realized that slackware doesn't come with the synaptics driver. I use a different distro on my laptop and assumed it'd be in slack too. There's a package for it at http://rlworkman.net/pkgs/. which should work.

The configuration tool was possibly xorgconfig or xorgsetup
