switching current to 15, when it comes out?

So old computer died, and new computer will likely need slackware-current's hardware support. Is switching from now-current to Slackware 15 (or whichever stable branch it becomes) as easy as switching the mirror? (And hopefully not downloading everything that's already installed?)

yes, but you should follow carefully current's ChangeLog.txt in the meantime, to see if there are any gotchas that you must take account for during the various updates until 15.0 will come out.

Yes, just switch the mirror from current to 15. Usually there is a short period of time before the current mirror begins changing toward the following release.
