switch caps lock and left control

hi,
i'm not positive, but i think the last time i tried switching caps lock and control while running xorgconfig, it did it correctly for left control, but it seemed to make my right control do nothing. is that really the case--switching caps lock and control will disable right control key? if that's not the case, how can i make right control work? basically, i just want the left control key and the caps lock key switched; everything else stays the same? how can i do that?
thanks.
