swaret: trouble renaming file

"Description: Latest stable release. If the file ends in tgz.tar, rename it to end in .tgz (will fix next release)."
http://swaret.sourceforge.net/module...download&cid=1

now i did try to rename the file with "mv" command and "F2". but now when i "installpkg" it gives me......

installpkg swaret-1.6.2-noarch-1.tgz
Cannot install swaret-1.6.2-noarch-1.tgz: package is corrupt (failed 'gzip -l swaret-1.6.2-noarch-1.tgz')

anyone have a solution?

thankx

I have never encountered this problem, and I have downloaded the swaret file numerous times.

If "mv swaret-1.6.2-noarch-1.tgz.tar swaret-1.6.2-noarch-1.tgz" didn't work, I would suggest redownloading it and trying again.

Question: did you try the mv in a console?

How about this, When you are saving it, take the .tar off the end and save it. That is all i ever do and it works every time
