Talking swaret slackware-current

I'd love to keep Slackware at Current but I don't want to install every single program that's on the slack package mirrors. Is there a way that I can just install the system updates without getting everything else?

Thank ya!

if you run swaret --upgrade it will list all the new packages available and you can choose the new ones you want

True, but I'm wondering if there's a way to get around sifting through every single package offered. I mean after a fresh Slackware install, that's a whole lot of packages to have to go through and look up to see what the heck they are (ie: sdl-42.1.4-i686.tgz, etc.).

swaret automatically picks the packages according to the installed ones and updates them.

The solution consist to edit /etc/swaret.conf and add all unwanted packages with the keyword EXCLUDE as this :
Code:
EXCLUDE=kde gnome x11
