SW 10.1: Amarok Problem
Well buddies, I have problem with starting Amarok after installing it on my Slackware 10.1, using either 4.29 or custom 2.6.13 kernel, I have installed its binary from http://ftp.naist.jp/pub/Linux/linuxp...-i486-1kjz.tgz .
But after installation, when I start it from Menu, the splash just occurs for few mili seconds and then nothing happens, It doesnt start. Why?
2ndly if I compile it from Source then it asks for gstreamer-plugin pack which I have installed from Slackware installation CD (I think it contains gstreamer plugin, XINE, Gxine and Totem works fine), and newer version of TGLIB, whihc I havent tried to upgrade.
Why binary doesnt work and why it asks for gstreamer plugins?
Thanks.

Well Changed directory to /opt/kde/bin and found amarok bin there, ran it through terminal having root access but unfortunately it told unavailability of shared library libtunepimp.so.2, I searched for this file and my /usr/lib didnt have thihs lib. I copied that file from native Gentoo installation to slackware partition, this time the error removed but it searching for libFLAC.so.7 , /usr/lib/ doesnt have this as well, and this is not present on native Gentoo. So why it is not available even I installed each and every thing form installation CDs, and I am sure, it prompted me dor installing FLAC support.
Help me out.

Sorry for multiple posts but after some how I managed to fulfill all of its requirement. But again it gave me error, remeber, it asked me for libFLAC.so.7 whihc I didnt have in /usr/lib, but I have libFLAC.so.6.0.2, I linked it with the name libFLAC.so.7. After it it asked for few mor elibs and I installed them. Now upon running amarok, it prints following messages.
Quote:
