Strange system reset of programs

Hi all,

i am suing slackware 10.2 with som m inor upgrades. There is one thing I have encounterd from time to time and I hope to find some answers.

After using slack10.2 a while, I booted up the system and suddenly my browser, games, amarok and some other programs are resettet ( all settings back to default )
since I have not done that myself nor due to some scripts i am running, I really wonder what is going on ?

.... and could someone help me installing my webcam : logithech stx msn camera ?

That "resetting" phenomenon; I've seen things like that when the system
doesn't have enough disk-space to write settings back during logout. What's
the fill-status of your file-system(s)?

df -m

It's not about log-files. KDE apps (or Mozilla for that matter) write back
their settings when they exit; if those 5% free on /home are roots share
of the file-system your user account might display exactly the behaviour
you just described.

Cheers,
Tink
