well i was using slackware 10 with default 2.4.26 kernel.... but i decided to update it to 2.6.7 so i update that from ma slackware cd (from testing directory) and every thing works fine there except ma alsa mixer and all other mixers which was not working there.... but after that i decided to upgrade ma kernel to 2.6.9 ..... so i donwload ma generic kernel with source, modules , headers and alsa in *.tgz format.... it was installed successfully ..... than i rebooted using this... it was ok except one thing i.e ma ethernet ... i've intel eepro100 .... so i check ma ifonfig there was no settings for ma eth0 just lo was there..... than i tried out to find out de problem .... i restart ma /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 ... it started to work it shows ma eth0 ... and it also assings the ip address from dhcp server...than i open ma browser and open a site... it works... but after that it stops automatically..... i.e it just open 1 website or any of 1 network application ... i tried to configure it by netconfig ... but it still won't work... than i restart /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 service but still it won't work.... i restart it again now it assings ipaddresss and samething happens just open the site once.... i donno wats the problem is it..... please help me out to sort out the problem......
