A "stable" branch in a git repository is a different thing by a stable release.

I'm not referring to kernel.org for which I read the kernel-4.14.9 changelog.
Ah, so... Thanks for the clarification.

4.14.10 is there.

https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/ker...4.14.10.tar.xz
https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/ker...ngeLog-4.14.10

BUT, meanwhile I transformed my mini-PC back in a router.

Someone can confirm/infirm the issues for 4.14.10?

Nothing worth in changelog, don't hope for that kernel!

MY APOLOGIES
on a fresh download of linux-4.14.10 from kernel.org and following Pat's README it seems to be compiling fine. Previously I had upgraded with patch 9-10

Glorious!

So, it does not even compile...

The 4.14.x goes better and even better.

It is all about 32-bit architecture!

OK, according with our BDFL, it is affected also the x86_64 arch, but the 32-bit target is on the stage: EPIC FAIL!

You dare to try the Patrick's Loop?

Code:
while true
do
        /sbin/udevadm trigger --type=subsystems --action=change
        /sbin/udevadm trigger --type=devices --action=change
        /sbin/udevadm settle --timeout=120
done
IF your computer resists more than 5 minutes without crash, then they changed something.

Well, I didn't dare the Patrick's Loop. But I did three back-to-back reboots, all successful.

The patches that fix this issue are queued in stable-review for the upcoming 4.14.11 kernel.

Oh, and happy new year everyone!
