Steam Crash on Startup

Suddenly today Steam stopped working on my kids' computer. I'm using Slackware64 14.1 with multilib, fully updated via slackpkg+. I'm using the NVIDIA 331.49 driver with the 32bit stuff install. I just tried reinstalling the driver in case something happened there. I also tried nuking the .steam/ and .local/share/Steam/ directories but the same error comes up. I'm using AlienBob's latest Steam package.

Here is the error that I get when I launch it:
Code:
Slackware 32-bit: Check the 'deps/<slackwareversion>' directory where you downloaded this package and install/upgrade the packages you find there.
Slackware 64-bit multilib: Install/upgrade the packages in the 'deps/<slackwareversion>/multilib' subdirectory instead.

I searched on here and on Google but didn't find anything that helped. I was not opted into the Steam betas.

OK, even more bizarre. It crashes like that on my account and one of my son's account. But my other son is able to run Steam just fine. Now I'm really confused.

Now I'm even more confused. Suddenly it's working just fine. I'm just going to be thankful for that and go on my way. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

I'm marking it as "solved" even though I have no idea what happened.
