Slackware 10.2, Via KM400A chipset.
I was running a CRT monitor and using Dropline without problem. I switched to an LCD. Without changing the any config stuff startx resulted in a blank screen and an inoperable keyboard and mouse. The lights on the keyboard went out.
I ran xorgsetup. I also edited xorg.conf to include the horiz and vert values for the LCD monitor. Same result. Reboot, double check values for monitor, rerun xorgsetup, same result.
