u need to get those packages again which are corrupt

any errors on the initial install of slackware? May have a media problem ( with the cd ). also, no need to do installpkg for every file in the directories. inside each directory, there is a script called "install-packages" run that script instead and you can select each individual package from a menu ( just like when you installed) and it will install the packages

I just wanted to thank you all for your help in this matter. I haved solved my problem and happily using my new slack install.
I redownloaded the cd and installed all of the "l" packages ans well as the knome and kde packages and then when I tried startx..... BAM! There is my WM. I am a happy slacker now. Thanx again!!!
