Standard Slackware utility to install a new DE from among those available in this distribution?

Slackware 14.1

Hi: I'm at present using Xfce 4, the Cholesterol desktop environment (DE). When I have wanted to use some other DE instead, I have run a program from the console, whose name I cannot now remember (and this is the reason of this post, to get that name), and just have the program select the new DE. I simply deletes a soft link and creates a new one in a certain directory, doing perhaps some other thing. If you need further data I will promptly supply them.

xwmconfig, yes, thanks a lot. Just after having posted I found the name in a file of mine. I knew I could find the name somewhere on disk but did not know how much time I would be employing. So, I reversed the natural order and posted first.

By the way, I have just changed, through xwmconfig, from Xfce to KDE, I have rebooted just in case and however still with Xfce in the GUI! Any suggestion?

Do you perhaps have a custom ~/.xinitrc ?

Did you do it while logged in as the user you wish to set the DE to KDE?

I'm attaching the one on root's home dir and the one on regular user bill's home dir. Perhaps you could tell me for I really do not know if they are custom. Thanks a lot for asking.

But doesn't xwmconfig create itself that file? What if I delete them?

EDIT: I ran xwmconfig as root. I thought the change would be system wide. After that I resumed as a regular user. That's what happened.

Indeed it does. My mistake.

I first shutdown X for all users, root included. Then I went to a root console and ran the utility, while a second (regular) user was also logged in. The mistake is explained in post # 6. Thanks for posting.

I received your message, but I don't have a useful answer.

I can just guess that the Slackware package aspell-es in /extra/aspell-word-lists includes all Spanish words but I have no idea how to extract a sorted list of words from it.
