src2pkg-2.2 is released
The latest version of src2pkg has been released. The installable package for Slackware, src2pkg-2.2-noarch-3.tgz is here:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/...2-noarch-3.tgz The included src2pkg-helpers have been upgraded, so if you are upgrading src2pkg, you'll be prompted with a reminder to run 'src2pkg --setup' before using src2pkg. This release doesn't add any major features, but has many small fix-ups. Since I don't do much coding during the warm months, I wanted to get this out now. Thanks to those who reported problems or made suggestions. As always, please report any problems you might have with this release. Gilbert |
Thanks for that. It's always a handy tool.

after upgraded, run src2pkg --setup got coreutils error.
slackware-current Unpacking sources - OK Creating libsentry - OK Creating tar-1.13 - OK Creating coreutils - Failed! Error is non-fatal. Continuing... Creating unionfs-fuse - OK - Creating Slackware-type tgz package - Slackware package maker, version 3.14159. |
Sorry zhoun, you always seem to find problems when you upgrade. I'll try to find the problem in a few days -I'm hoping to get a current installation done soon. Meanwhile, src2pkg should still be usable without the included version of coreutils tools. Using it like you have it will serve as a useful test... please tell me if you have any problems with it.

Gnashley, I'd like to say your work on src2pkg is appreciated.

Thanks again Gilbert.
I installed Slackware 13 (32) to another harddrive last night. Set up my firewall, then ran slackpkg to upgrade everything. Haven't installed anything but what was on cd1 and cd2. Installed src2pkg this afternoon. Installed flawlessly. |
src2pkg worked fine in spite of the complain of coreutils.
My pleasure to help test it :) Quote:
