Sound with Xfce
 

I have sound but the volume controle on the taskbar won't show any controllers until i open up xine....
And i have to redo it everytime i reboot.
Has anyone else experienced this?

How can i fix this?

And this is my first time using Slackware

Run alsamixer in terminal as root. Set the volume levels with the arrow keys. Press 'm' to unmute channels. Then when you have volume levels the way you want, run "alsactl store" as root to save the settings.
