Sound issues + Mouse wheel issues
 

Ok i was trying to get my sound card to work so i starting searching here. I found apost so i tried it out so i went into /etc/rc.d/rc.modules and i uncommented my card. Then i rebooted and my internet didnt work so i went back into the /etc/rc.d/rc.moduels file and recommented the card. I have a Isa card i know its recongizsed because when i do dmesg i see it there... any ways if someone can point me in the right direction of what to do to get it work Please.... Hehe ok now..

My mouse wheel ok i got a Microsoft intellMouse PS/2 i found another post on this because i remember seeing like everyone asking about this question hehe and im not exception. Anyways i went into /etc/X11/XF86Config and add three lines i cant member which these are. But i think i added them in the wrong place can someone show me where to add those? When i tried to add these and rebooted it told me that it couldnt find a monitor?? i didnt know what to do so i tried something and i went into my install cd and mount my partitions then i chamged it back then it work find good thing....Anyways can someone help me???

I guess you're wondering how to add mouse wheel scrolling? The line that you need to add is the ZAxisMapping. Also, probably make sure your Option "Protocol" is "ImPS/2

As for your sound card, what version of Slackware are you using? The new 9.1 includes ALSA which should detect you soundcard automagically (if it's not an obscure card). If it's an older version of Slackware I would HIGHLY recommend getting the ALSA source code from www.alsa-project.org and install it. You can check on the alsa web site whether your card is supported.

Thanx i got my mouse wheel working its awsome working perfect....

I have an isapnp card i tried alsa there with 8.0 and it didnt work i had to make a isapnp.conf file. I tired it this time but i think when i made the file it got made for my isapnp d-link card because when i reboot it trys both of my cards now but i didnt want that to happen hehe. Oh well anyone know how i can find out which is which my sound card isent working i have the isapnp.conf file i tried looking in there for my card but i dont see it. I know my computer sees it because i see it when it boots up and it says looking for isa cards...
