sound Card not detected in slax

Hi, every body

I tried to use Slax ( slackware on CD) , It seems correct but It didn't find my siound card

The message given is : no /dev/dsp found

strange because with knoppix or redhat the card is detected this is for example the file
with konppix:
FULLNAME="ESS ES1869 Plug and Play Audiodrive Unknown

ls /dev/dsp -l
audio 14, 3 /dev/dsp

My card is an isa card which runs correctly in any redhat 7.1 -----> 9.0
by using sndconfig and kudzu to detect

how to do it in slack ( or Slax )

thank you
best regards

What version of Slack are you using? It makes a difference in what sound software is available and how easy (or transparent) it is to configure.
