Sound Blaster queries
 

Gotta couple of questions for anyone who may know the answers for. Currently, I'm running Slackware 10 with the 2.4.x kernel. I'm in the process of updating this to the 2.6.9 kernel in the next few days. One of the things that I will be getting in the next month or two is a new sound card. I'm looking at the Sound Blaster Audigy 2Z (just the normal PCI 5.1 card with the THX capabilities). Another thing that I'm looking at buying is some new speakers (Mace 5 speaker + Sub woofer system). Has anyone had any experience with any of these items on Slackware? If so, is it worth buying? I'm looking at turning my system into a multimedia system (on Linux - not M$).

Also, has anyone used MythTV on their Slack box? When I get the Aerial replaced on my house, I'm looking to add this feature to my box. I would like any input on this as well. It would be nice to have all this on my computer running my favorite OS :)
