not yet. for example, slack14.1 out of the box contain a bit old xfce - without including keyboard layout switcher, and without possibility to have different wallpapers on each desktop...
Actually I've had more problems with 14.1 than any other Slackware since IIRC 10.
Out of curiosity I've read some threads that you started, and it appears that when someone makes a suggestion you don't give much feedback, as e.g. trying an alternate X video driver, or setting it differently. This is unfortunate for two reasons:
