Some questions before i start my second slack experience
 

I've decided to go back to slack again, after a long period with WinXP... I used it for about a month and a half with no previous linux experience, and threw xp on there after about 3 weeks of trying unsuccessfully to get Diablo2 running. After I reinstalled windows, I never actually installed diablo, or any other game for that matter... So I'm going back to slack (downloading all 4 discs of 9.1 as we speak).

My setup has changed slightly since my last linux outing though... I have the following hardware:

Gigabyte G7VAXP Mobo
AMD AthlonXP 2800+
ATI Radeon 7000 (like i said, I don't play games)
3x WD 120gb HDs
and LG DVD and an LG cd burner

The only new part is the third 120gb HD, which isn't even formatted or in the computer right now... I want to raidify it with another 120, the last 120 will be used entirely for slack and such. I was wondering what the best way to move everything is... The 1 120 is full (about 1.5 gb free), a second has 2 partitions on it (10 bg for windows, which is full, and 110 for everything else, which has about 30 gb free. I was to have the raided 240 full of all my `media, and the lone 120 for slack. I've never done raid before, so I'm not too sure how to set it up...

There are linux drivers for my onboard raid, but the readme says only use those drivers for redhat and suse! Does anyone have this board? I don't need the raid i suppose, but I'm not sure I'll be able to get those extra IDE channels working even normally.

The network setup here at home has also changed... Instead of just gfeneric windows net sharing, I have a wireless router now. It work without configuration before, is it going to be the same? Once I get the internet working I'm gold, because I can usually find the information I need to fix everything else.

If anyone knows if i can get that raid working, information would certainly be appreciated

I have only done RAID one time, and it was RAID 1 with an integrated chip. If your mobo has this ability in the BIOS, which is should if you have the integrated chip, then you should be able to mirror another drive regardless of the OS. You will have to mess with your BIOS settings and find out how to mirror it on boot. Of course after that, you will have to mess with setting up the driver.
