Some packages depend upon libunwind, which isn't in any package

Some executables in the packages intel-gpu-tools-1.20-i586-1.txz gstreamer-1.12.4-i586-1.txz gst-plugins-base-1.12.4-i586-1.txz strace-4.20-i586-1 depend upon libunwind.so.8, which I can't find in any package.

The missing package is called libunwind and its in current, I'd guess you neglected to install new packages.

My guess is you forgot to invoke install-new.

Code:
slackpkg update
slackpkg install-new
slackpkg upgrade-all
slackpkg clean-system

In the future if you can't figure out where something is coming from you can also search the Slackware packages site which allows you to search the content of all Slackware packages among other things. In this case it should of easily pointed out the missing package.

I started using Slackware in 1997. A friend who subscribed gave me his old disks every quarter (a new one came quarterly). I wasn't on-line. I'd fetch the latest listing of packages when I was at the library; if they were small enough, I'd download new ones onto a floppy. I wrote scripts to keep track. I've kept it up (with a 16 GB flash drive, I can download all of them at the library). The occasional added package slips through. I actually had a copy of the current libunwind but somehow missed it.
