(solved) Strange issue with cd/dvd on multiple systems

I'm going to mark this solved.
I downloaded a new ISO of Slackware 64 14.2 and tried with a fresh install but had the exact same problems, so I now know it wasn't anything I did that caused them. I downloaded an ISO of 14.1 64 and installed it and everything works perfectly, so I'll be saving myself some problems and start installing 14.1 back on every system I upgraded to 14.2.

I really have a hard time believing I'm the only one with this issue since I've had the unmounting issue in multiple systems.

Thanks for all the advise but 14.2 apparently just won't work for me.
