so .... slack current is mounting usb on media now?

Have I gone mad or has slack current changed its default USB auto mount to /media now? As I just re-installed off a current dvd iso, and installed e16 again, without having changed the method of calling a different script to add dbus first, then call to start starte16 I noticed that my usb mounts where in /media but my fstab mounts not showing up in the pcmanfm file manager, then after I made the changes to started dbus first then call to start e16 everything went back to /run/meida/username/usb-mount

now today being in cinnamon playing around and having hopefully fixed my boost issues, then logged out and into e16 and it was acting strange the desktop file went back to the original one, strangely as e16 is not a default desktop, so I had to rebuild and install e16 again for whatever strange reasoning having done an upgrade to the system. that part is not a issue anymore.

then did the needed changes again to start dbus first etc. I see that my USB Ports are still mounted on /media and not going through /run/... and I logged out and into xfce4 and it too was the same mount point /media

is this a strange thing or going to be a norm or what?

if it is to be the norm then I got to make adjustments to my scripts.
