so after I use slackpkg, I get...
Ok, I used slackpkg to upgrade my system using a -current mirror. Had an issue with my X server after the updates and I have that all resolved, no big deal. I had to get one of the pixman packages and install it, and presto, everything works fine. I 'startx'and I am now in KDE. But, my menu and window effects are very, VERY Vista-ish. Everything fades, and all my windows are translucent. How to I go back to no fades and no translucent windows? I can't seem to find any settings for this in the KDE control center. I have been using XFCE, which is nice, but everyone else who uses the system is used to KDE.
Thanks, Paul |
control centre - desktop - window behaviour - translucency
Or if you want to go back to XCFE use the xwmconfig command to pick it |
