snd_intel does not recognize new compile

Hello!

I'll be quick:

I recompiled my kernel (used mrproper etc.) and when I load the snd_intel8x0 it tells me that it was compiled for SMP Pentium4 and the current is for PentiumM.

Now, I can force it, but if I recompiled the whole kernel, why should I get this error? And (more importantly) what should I do about?

Thanks,
Murdock

I believe that you have to recompile your modules separately when you recompile the kernel.

Hello!

I did recompile the entire kernel ("make modules").

Thanks,
Murdock
