smp kernels
 

Is there a precompiled smp and scsi kernel in the Slackware 9.0 distro. I don't mind recompiling but if I can avoid it I would like to.

Just a comment using the instructions found here and the config of the cd im running a dual smp 500 kernel without a glitch one thanks guys

OK, I ate the pain and recompiled (painful because it's a dual p133 running on one cylinder). For the last 4 years this box had been Slackware 3.5 and quite tidy. The security stuff finally forced an upgrade (primarily a botched install of ssh). 9 is huge! From what I can see I can either stay CLI, recopile all the X and KDE stuff, or get used to the GUI running like win2k. :^)
