That is why I think it is a bad idea to download and use unofficial ISO images that you've found on a torrent tracker.
Who knows what the process was to create this ISO? Did someone sign the ISO with a GPG key so that you know who to point to when using the ISO to install the distro results in a broken system (or even as in the above case, proves to contain something entirely different)?

People, create your own ISO images! Download the Slackware package tree from an official mirror so that you can verify Slackware's MD5 checksums and GPG signatures, and use that to populate the ISO. Saves a lot of GB to download too... when there is an update to Slackware-current all it takes is to download several MB of changes and then create a whole new gigabytes large ISO image on your local computer.
