Slackware64 14.1 kernel bug on resume after sleep

I got hit by this when using the 3.10.17 generic kernel:

https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/36288

It happened on both a Thinkpad T420 and a T430. I grabbed the 3.10.30 kernel from kernel.org and compiled it using the generic config, and now the problem seems to have gone away. At least I haven't had /var/log/syslog fill up with mad amounts of mei_me notices since the upgrade.

As far as I've been able to figure out, this was supposed to have been fixed back in 3.10.5, so I guess 3.10.17 regressed in regards to this.

Maybe a kernel update for Slackware64 14.1 is in order?

A known bug and was corrected in recent kernels. I can't remember when it was fixed but the kernel developer was Tomas Winkler from Intel who fixed it.

Just noticed you had the bug in 3.10.17, kernel 3.10.10 fixed it for me, Apparently not for everyone. Sorry
I'm currently using 3.13.3 without any problems
