Wink Slackware64-14.1 doesnt boot on UEFI

When I select the entry from my boot menu-
Optical Drive(UEFI)

It loads-
Welcome to Grub
and stops there.
The cursor doesnt blink.
Caps lock light off and doesnt switch on on pressing it.

Booted in Bios mode-
Optical Drive
Installed successfully.
Didnt install lilo.

Will try to figure out how to boot it

Developments

I copied the bootx64.efi file from the EFI directory on the DVD drive, created a folder Slackware on /boot/efi/EFI, and copied the bootx64.efi

It also stops with Welcome to Grub.

Next what I am trying to do is either chroot and install grub or use my other distribution(s) to load Slackware

Update-
Slackware seems to have been detected
Code:
Found Slackware Linux (Slackware 14.1) on /dev/sda9

Typing this from Slackware

Used the Grub entry from my other Linux distro to boot into Slackware.

Then I installed Grub using instructions from the Arch Wiki (and my previous experiences )

Code:
mkdir /boot/efi
mount /dev/sda4 /boot/efi
grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot/efi --bootloader-id=Slackware --recheck --debug
Works with rEFInd now
