Slackware + XFCE + ???? = dynamic wall paper. Solve for ????

I'm running Slackware -current with XFCE.

Can anyone suggest a way to get XFCE's wall paper to be a JPG image downloaded from a URL (security cam)?

I say dynamic because I would like it to reload every X seconds.

Variety can do that for you: https://www.linuxuprising.com/2018/0...anger-and.html
But I remember that xfdesktop has settings to load random wallpapers from a directory. If you make your downloaded jpg the only one in that directory, you're done I guess.

You're awesome! Yes, both will work.

UPDATE: If you update the image you have selected as your wallpaper, XFCE will change it immediately without any further interaction.

To do what I wanted, all I had to do was run curl in a loop and update the wallpaper image in the directory.
