Slackware VLAN Config....??? HOW....???

I've been searching the Internet for information on how to install/configure VLAN capabilities on Slackware.... specifically Slackware 10.2.

I have found all kinds of information that suggests it is possible, but NOT ONE POST anywhere stating HOW TO install/config Slackware VLANS.

Can someone point me in the right direction as to how I install/config Slackware VLANs...??

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards,

"The term VLAN was specified by IEEE 802.1Q; it defines a method of differentiating traffic on a LAN by tagging the Ethernet frames. By extension, VLAN is used to mean the traffic separated by Ethernet frame tagging or similar mechanisms."
From http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...AN&btnG=Search

I guess you mean a VPN? Because if I understand correctly, a VLAN can be done in several ways, and all the ways I've heard of need a special switch and/or router and/or bridge.

But a VPN can be done by configuring a special software:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...ackware_How_to (with PPP specifics, but still usefull)
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/VPN-Masquerade-HOWTO.html (slightly dated)

EDIT: Ooops, 802.1Q is not a VPN, sorry my mistake.
