Wow, Slackware 96 was my very first Linux distro! I remember wiping Windows 3.11 off my 486 (didn't have the money to buy Windows 95 at the time) and installing Slack. Things were sure a lot tougher back then... we certainly didn't have anything like!

I think it's a testament to Slackware that after all these years I still think it's the very best distro out there. I've tried others but, like your first love, nothing else is quite the same.
