Slackware Recognizing

Well I finally was able to make space and partition my NTFS hd to ext 3 using Knoppix but for some reason Slackware won't recognize my drive /dev/sda, the only thing it recognizes is my /dev/hda that only has 665 mb, is there any way I could install my slackware in /dev/sda becuase when I try to fdisk it won't let me write the partition or recognize theres anything there.

O yeah Im running Slackware 10.2

Did you try sata.i kernel?
If you used bare.i kernel, probably loading the correct modules for your chipset will let Slack to recognize it.

When you boot with the Slackware CD1, you get a prompt that says boot: there, you can specify boot parameters, like the kernel you want to use, the root partition, etc.
At that prompt, you should type: sata.i
That kernels has SATA support, which is what you need to be able to access your disk.

You can find more information on Slackware CD or http://www.slackbook.org
