Yes.

Longer answer: Definitely! Hands-on study of history is always worth it. Some people grow their own herbs; some people drive old cars. Knowledge of "how we got here" gives a person a better understanding of things "now."

This is where Slackware has the advantage, per the saying: "When you learn Red Hat, you know Red Hat. When you learn Slackware, you know Unix." And the topic of this thread is exactly the kind of experiment made easier by Slackware.

Well, for historical and educational purposes makes sense...

But, let's stop with that old slogan...

Maybe 20 years ago it was true, but today Slackware differ so much of all other Linux distributions, than when someone learn Slackware, he learn just Slackware and for the UNIX fans there is always FreeBSD.
