slackware so slow
 

Hi,

I am running slackware on my laptop. It is an Acer Aspire 3004Lm. I have a SiS M760GX video card (integrated), a 40gig harddrive (with windows) and 770Mb of ram. I added more ram (512mb) hoping KDE would be faster. The processor is MobileAMD Sempron 3100+, 1.80Ghz

I also uninstalled apache, mysql and other stuff but KDE is still so slow.

Is the graphics card using too much memory? What can I do to speed up KDE? Could someone please help me?
